Words are powerful!
We have all experienced the positive and negative effects of so-called “mere” words.
Need some proof of the power of words?
The world – heaven, earth, humans, and animals – came into existence by our Creator with God’s words.
We enter into the presence of God with words.
God’s voice, His words, keep us ready and alert to listen to Him.
Think of the POWER of His Words!
There are NO Mere Words…
And here is the truth, our words are no different.
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. Proverbs 18:21
Our words either build each other up or tear each other down.
Our words inspire or destroy.
Choose yours well!

There are consequences to your words.
When you choose words that bring death, there are consequences.
So let’s only choose words that bring life!!!
A person’s words can be life-giving water; words of true wisdom are as refreshing as a bubbling brook. Proverbs 18:4
Let’s speak words that are refreshing to others!
Those are the words that absolutely everyone needs.
Can I get an AMEN!?!
Scripture commands us not to use words lightly and to ensure they reflect the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
We have the opportunity to be a light to the world!
Let’s choose every one of our words wisely.
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Colossians 4:6
I wonder if you could join me in this goal:
Be the kind of person known for their gracious words.
I want to be known for my gracious words – how about you?
And remember, words include not only what you say to others.
This also consists of the words you say to yourself, the words that run through your mind.
Be kind to yourself, and love yourself!
Speak gentle, kind, loving words to yourself as well.
Be conscious about what words run through your mind, and change your heart posture to think and say only life-giving words.
Let’s be wise with our words!
