Pride Clothing and Accessories 2021: Fashion That Gives Back for Pride

Why walk on clouds when you can walk on a rainbow? Especially when footwear brand Teva has paired its lineup of bold rainbow sandals with a $35,000 USD donation to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Canadian pre-loved luxury handbag retailer LXRandCo is partnering with LGBT Youthline. Until midnight on June 10, five percent of proceeds from all purchases on their website will be donated to the organization. Youthline is a queer, trans and Two-Spirit youth-led organization that affirms and supports the experiences of youth ages 29 and under across Ontario.

Fifteen percent of the sales price from the Balenciaga Pride 2021 products will be donated to The Trevor Project and its mission to end LGBTQIA+ youth suicide.

Marsha P. Johnson was a fearless and outspoken advocate for Black trans rights, known for throwing the first brick at the Stonewall Riots in 1969. In Marsha’s honour, Awe Inspired released a new Goddess Necklace with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute in support of its mission to protect and defend the human rights of Black transgender people.

Apple has released new Pride Bands (made of stretchable recycled yarn) and a dynamic watch face for Apple Watch in celebration of Pride Month. With this new release, Apple continues to build on its long-running financial support for LGBTQIA+ organizations, including Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, Gender Spectrum, GLSEN, Human Rights Campaign, National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG National, SMYAL and The Trevor Project in the US, as well as ILGA World internationally.

For its sixth annual Pride collection, Converse has tapped young creatives from its global All Star Community to help create a footwear and apparel line that explores the duplexity of struggle and joy in the journey of self-love. Converse continues to contribute to the It Gets Better Project (IGBP) with its LGBTQIA+ community funding, in addition to grants supporting Ali Forney Center, BAGLY and OUT MetroWest.

In celebration of Pride Month and 10 years of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ album, portions of the proceeds from the Versace x Born This Way beret and T-shirt will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation.

Playboy has partnered with five influential voices in the LGBTQIA+ community — Kittens, Bretman Rock, Gigi Goode, Leo Baker and Ev’Yan Whitney — on a limited-edition collection of products that have been custom designed by each of them. Dubbed the “Pride in Numbers” campaign, Playboy will be donating the profits to APLA Health (formerly AIDS Project Los Angeles).

Homoco is committed to working with organizations that support the rights of queer people while working to improve their lives. With every purchase, the queer swim brand donates a portion of proceeds to a variety of organizations.

Reebok presents its All Types of Love footwear and apparel line, which was designed by its LGBTQIA+ employee community. In celebration and support of Pride, the brand is donating $75,000 to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an organization working to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.

Female-founded jewellery brand Rellery is partnering with The Trevor Project to give back to young LGBTQIA+ people through providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services. To that end, Rellery has created a limited-edition handmade and hand-painted ring, and will be donating 50 percent of the proceeds to The Trevor Project.

COS has released a limited-edition run of T-shirts designed in collaboration with London-based artist Coco Capitán, and will send all proceeds to The Trevor Project. Shop the T-shirts IRL at the following locations: Vancouver Robson Street, Toronto Bloor Street and Montreal St. Catherines.

For a third year, DKNY is partnering with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, a youth services organization for the LGBTQIA+ community that provides empowerment, education and advocacy in and around the NYC area. In honour of Pride Month, the brand made a donation to the HMI ahead of the capsule’s launch.

In celebration of Pride Month, David Yurman will donate 20 percent of the purchase price from select rainbow designs to the David Yurman x Unity Fund with Robin Hood, NYC’s largest poverty-fighting organization supporting local communities, including LGBTQIA+ groups.

For the fifth year in a row, Dr. Martens is partnering with The Trevor Project for Pride Month. This time, the iconic shoe brand is committing to a year-long partnership in conjunction with a $100,000 donation to the organization, in an effort to help share valuable resources with those who need them.

Throughout the month of June, Toronto-based genderless fashion brand Andrew Coimbra will donate 50 percent of every earring purchase to The 519 — one of the biggest non-profit pillars in Toronto’s Gay Village that supports the LGBTQIA+ community with newcomer settlement and housing services, trans-specific support, sexual health resources and more.

Throughout the month of June, EQ3 will sell exclusive Pride tote bags in all showrooms. EQ3 partnered with and donated to the Queer Design Club, and enlisted in-house designer Elis Wautier and Apple art director Isabel Castillo to design the tote. One hundred percent of proceeds will be donated to local LGBTQIA+ organizations.

This month, Eriness introduces the Rainbow Pride Necklace in 14K gold, and will be donating 20 percent of each purchase to The Trevor Project.

Levi’s has launched its All Pronouns, All Love collection which celebrates stories of big love, understanding and optimism. For a third year in a row, the trusted denim brand has partnered with OutRight Action International, and will donate 100 percent of net proceeds from the collection to the organization.

For Mavi’s first ever Pride collection, they’ve created a gender fluid lineup of love-focused pieces. 100 percent of all proceeds from purchases made between June and August will be given to the Ali Forney Center and Egale Canada, two LGBTQIA+ charitable organizations.

Through August 31, Temple St Clair will be donating 30 percent of sales from the Rainbow Sapphire Angel Pendant to New York-based non-profit The Hetrick-Martin Institute, which provides young LGBTQIA+ people a supportive community that promotes physical health and mental well-being, academic achievement, job readiness and artistic creativity.

From June 25 to 27, Hunter is donating $5 from every single product sold on its website to OutRight Action International’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ+ Emergency Fund as part of their annual #PrideWithAPurpose campaign.

The limited-edition Club Monaco unisex Crest Pride Tee is made with ultra soft cotton and features the signature Pride colours. 50 percent of proceeds from each purchase will be donated to the New York-based Stonewall Community Foundation in support of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

During the month of June, Greenwich St. Jewelers will donate 10 percent of its Chroma Collection sales to Trans Lifeline, a non-profit organization providing emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis.

Michael Kors will donate 100 percent of the sales of this Michael Kors Pride 2021 Capsule gender-neutral T-shirt to OutRight Action International.

In partnership with OutRight Action International, Dynamite has created a limited-edition T-shirt with Brooklyn-based illustrator Ohni Lisle in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. June also marks the beginning of a long-term partnership for the brand and OutRight that will extend throughout the year.

Seree will donate five percent of proceeds from its collection of Jade Bangles throughout the month of June in support of The Trevor Project, Sylvia Rivera Law Project, The Audre Lorde Project, GLSEN and NQAPIA.

BOSS is celebrating Pride month with a capsule collection created in support of ILGA World, a worldwide federation of over 1,700 organizations that campaigns for equal rights for LGBTQIA+ people. As part of their ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion globally, HUGO BOSS has made a donation to ILGA World.

With mental health at the heart of the brand, Kate Spade has partnered with The Trevor Project for a second year in a row to aid young LGBTQIA+ folks with suicide prevention and crisis intervention. Kate Spade will donate 20 percent of its limited edition Rainbow Collection (which includes bright and cheerful ready-to-wear pieces, including jewellery, shoes and accessories) to TTP.

The entire proceeds from Smash + Tess Pride Patches (the Wave Patch, the Hands Patch and the Galaxy Patch) will be donated to the Rainbow Railroad and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.

Another brand partnering with The Trevor Project is With Love Darling, a sustainable European jewellery brand. All month long, 20 percent of all proceeds from their Global Goals #5 collection, Equality, will go toward helping youth in the LGBTQIA+ community get suicide prevention aid.

Roxanne Assoulin’s colourful rainbow stacks are packing a punch of colour in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. From June 21 to June 27, the brand is donating 20 percent of proceeds from the Pride Duo Bracelet and the Rainbow Brite collection to Manhattan’s Gay Center.

E-commerce retail shop Pretty Little Thing has launched Pride T-shirts, and 100 percent of proceeds will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust, an organization supporting young LGBTQIA+ people who are facing homelessness.

Toronto-based children’s apparel brand Mini Miochi is releasing the Family Pride Collection in partnership with The 519 on June 13. Fifteen percent of sales from the lineup of limited-edition T-shirts (for the whole family!) will be donated to The 519, Canada’s leading LGBTQIA+ community centre and service provider.

On June 18, Boys Lie is launching a limited-edition hoodie that is representative of the brand’s ethos of learning to heal and empower one another. One hundred percent of profits from The Movement 2 Hoodie will be split between the LBGTQ+ Freedom Fund, RAINN, Asian Pacific Fund and Black Visions Collective.

Femme on the Fringe is a small, non-profit earring venture, entirely handmade by full-time Toronto nurse Patrizia Virone. For each earring purchase, Virone sends 100 percent of the profit to Sistering, a multi-service agency in Toronto that supports at-risk, socially isolated, homeless or precariously housed women and trans people.

The entire profit made from Marcelo Burlon’s Pride T-shirt capsule will go to the Gay Center Italia, which offers vital lifeline services the LGBTQIA+ community in Italy, including their 24/7 help line, STI testing and refuge centre for LGBTQIA+ youth, which is in danger of closing this year.
