Meghan Markle is reportedly feeling left out amidst the drama surrounding King Charles’s coronation invites. That’s according to a royal expert who has covered the family extensively.
Since January, there’s been rumblings that the Palace is working adamantly to forge a temporary bridge between Prince Harry and Prince William in time for their father’s crowning ceremony. Up until now, Meghan’s name has been left out of much of the discourse.
It was rumored that Charles tapped archbishop Justin Welby, who has served as the family’s mediator in the past, to help his sons reach some kind of peace. But what about Meghan, who, according to Harry’s memoir and their Netflix tell-all docuseries, has unresolved grievances with most of the royal family?
The blasé approach to her coronation invite has reportedly left Meghan “upset and overwhelmed,” says a royal expert who spoke with Fox News Digital. The expert alludes to the Palace viewing the Duchess of Sussex as an afterthought.
“It’s not that Meghan feels excluded with the planning,” royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital. “Meghan feels like the palace is only fighting for Prince Harry to attend and they don’t care whether she shows up or not. And that does not sit well with her.”

As evident in South Park’s “Worldwide Privacy Tour” episode, Meghan’s recent behavior has been ridiculed and mocked just as much as her husband’s.
“Rejection is one of Meghan’s greatest insecurities,” Schofield adds, which has also been an overarching theme amongst concerns of royal experts across the pond.
Several UK journalists warned the Sussexes that a cold welcome could be awaiting them. Others have gone as far to say that their presence could be met with boos from Britons. This especially came of concern following the premiere of Harry & Meghan, in which the couple brought much of their issues with The Firm, including Harry’s family, to life.
“She does not want to be booed or humiliated on a global scale, yet she understands that her brand stateside increases in value with her proximity to the royal family,” Schofield said.
As of this writing, neither camp has made an official statement regarding their invitation status to Charles’s coronation. The crowning ceremony is set to take place at Westminster Abbey on May 6th.
