Following South Park’s Canadian royalty episode, Meghan Markle is reportedly unhappy with how she and Prince Harry were portrayed in the satire, which mocks the couple for going on a “worldwide privacy tour” amidst the release of their docuseries and tell-all memoir. However, a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said the couple has no plans to sue South Park over the recent episode.
“It’s all frankly nonsense. Totally baseless, boring reports,” their rep said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, Feb. 21st.
The day prior, rumors began circulating that Meghan and Harry were contemplating taking legal action against the creators of South Park for making a parody out of their transatlantic move. One of the episode’s most talked about sketches is the Good Morning Canada segment, during which the Prince of Canada and his “Instagram-loving b*tch wife” demand privacy.
“It’s been several months now since our beloved queen has died. Our Canadians are finding it hard to go on. Our Canadians, that is, except for our first guests, the Prince and his wife,” the TV host says welcoming the couple on stage.
Meghan’s cartoon character is shown with a protest sign ordering people to “Stop looking at us!”
“We just wanna be normal people! This attention is so hard!” she complains to the GMC host.
Elsewhere in the episode, the prince’s wife is described as “a sorority girl, actress, influencer, and victim.”

On Monday, Feb, 20th, a source revealed to The Spectator that Meghan is very “upset and overwhelmed” by the episode’s contents. She’s “annoyed by South Park” and “refuses to watch it all,” the source added.
Royal commentator Neil Sean told Fox News that the creators of South Park could face legal ramifications should the Sussexes’ legal team go after them in a lawsuit.
“Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister,” Sean wrote in a statement. “This appears to be their course of action rather than laughing it off, enjoying the moment and showing the world that they get the joke.”
Albeit, according to Harry and Meghan’s rep, there will be no such thing.
