Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show may be over, but a recently resurrected clip is sparking outrage — from a certain well-known model/actress. Emily Ratajkowski is blasting the comedian and former talk-show host for an interview she did with Taylor Swift back in 2012.
The cringey video — which recently resurfaced and went viral on social media — essentially paints Swift as a serial-dating stalker, leaving the singer looking noticeably uncomfortable throughout the five minute interview.
As the 33-year old “Bad Blood” crooner sits across from DeGeneres, photos of her exes or those she was rumored to have dated (including Taylor Lautner, Justin Bieber, and John Meyer) are flashed across the screen, and DeGeneres grills her about kissing, which of the men she writes her songs about, and whether or not her boyfriend “likes the way” she smells.

While it’s not known if Swift and EmRata are friends, the model came to the singer’s defense. “This is so f*cked up,” writes Ratajtowski beneath the clip on the TikTok post, “she’s literally begging her to stop.”
Swift then pleads with the TV host to let her keep the “one shred of dignity” she has. “Stop it, stop it, stop! This makes me feel so bad about myself. Every time I come up here, you put a different dude up there on the screen, and it just makes me really question what I stand for as a human being,” Swift says in the clip.
EmRata isn’t the only one coming to Swift’s aid on the TikTok vid — other Swifties are outraged that the singer seems to be visibly shaken, and the former talk show host seems to show no mercy.
In a subsequent 2019 interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Swift shares how when she was younger, people would reduce her to who she dated, “making slideshows of my dating life and putting people in there that I had sat next to at a party once.”
She continued, “It’s a way to take a woman who is doing her job and succeeding at doing her job and making things, and it’s, in a way, it’s figuring out how to completely minimize that skill.”
The comments are presumably referring to DeGeneres’ antics on that 2012 show. While it isn’t known if Swift still holds a grudge or DeGeneres ever apologized, this isn’t the first time the comedian has come under fire.
The show was taken off the air in 2020 after nineteen seasons, due to allegations from staffers that it was a toxic workplace — largely due to Ellen, herself.
