November begins in the middle of two eclipses on the Scorpio/Taurus axis, which will illuminate both romantic and platonic ties. The October 25 Scorpio solar eclipse may have awakened strong chemistry out of the blue. (Weren’t expecting to be busy during cuffing season, Crab? Guess again!) Your talents may have attracted the spotlight—and could continue to while the Sun’s in Scorpio until November 22.

On November 8, a second eclipse arrives in Taurus and your eleventh house of community and friendships. There could be a changing of the guard in one of your regular groups. You may get a sudden invitation to collaborate with like-minded people. While you might not be a “joiner” all the time, you could find that the right crew helps amplify your ideas and take them out to a wider audience. With energizer Mars now retrograde in your twelfth house of rest, healing and guardian angels from October 30 to January 12, a fairy godperson or three wouldn’t hurt!

Sagittarius season begins on November 22, ushering in positive, can-do energy and heating up your sixth house of health and organization. Time for a holiday spruce-up and decluttering? November 23 features a Sagittarius new moon AND enthusiastic Jupiter ending a four-month retrograde in your optimistic, visionary ninth house. 

But wait…there’s more! Thanksgiving turkey-trots in with a parade of planets (the Sun, moon, social Mercury and harmonious Venus) in Sagittarius this November 24. Dare we hope for a holiday weekend free of pandemics and politics? With midterm elections just behind us, that might be a stretch, but the skies at least beckon us to take a break and focus on the positive side of life.

Fire it up: Scorpio season until November 22

Fall is getting fierce—and showing all its colors. With the Sun blazing through Scorpio and your flamboyant fifth house until November 22, passion is running high. The fifth house rules love, creativity and self-expression, and with the bold Sun here, cuffing season could find you in high demand! Of course, you may just want to have fun and explore your options during this playful time. 

Forget what they say about Cancers being shy: The recent (October 25) Scorpio eclipse likely brought some attention or recognition your way. Whether you were singled out for your great performance at work or put your creative talents on full display, the spotlight has been working overtime to find you and will continue to do so for most of November.

The November 8 Taurus full moon is a total lunar eclipse

On November 8, the Taurus lunar full blood moon eclipse lands in your eleventh house of groups and friendships. This is the second Taurus lunar eclipse in a series that began on November 19, 2021, and will ripple across the Taurus/Scorpio axis until October 28, 2023. 

Finding a balance between drama and detachment is a major theme of this eclipse series. Reflect on the past year, Crab. Have you developed an ability to stay cool in scenarios that normally would make your blood boil? That’s the handiwork of these eclipses—and we’re talking about progress, not perfection, of course. If you’ve been obsessing over a complicated love connection, hanging out with your crew could restore perspective. A new collaborator could emerge from out of the blue. Stay open!

This particular eclipse will make contact with a number of planets, which could complicate things or throw in a lot of tension. The full moon is conjunct (together with) radical changemaker Uranus, which might bring a turning point to a team or friendship. This moon-Uranus duo will form a challenging T-square (three-way tug of war) with tough Saturn in your intimate eighth house and a Sun-Mercury-Venus trio in Scorpio and your passionate fifth house. 

It could be harder to play it cool with all this cosmic energy swirling about. Yet holding back and keeping your composure could pay off now. Create a space for people to open up, and they’ll reveal their own hands. But if you jump in or try to make it comfortable for them, you could miss the chance to observe their true nature. Ultimately, you’re screening people for their trustworthiness and long-term potential. 

Pace yourself at the November 19 Mars-Neptune square

Too much of a good thing is just…too much. At least, that’s how it will feel this November 19 as impatient Mars in your hazy twelfth house crashes into nebulous Neptune in your expansion sector. For your intuitive sign, “going with your gut” usually works out, and rather well. But today, temptation could come at a cost—namely, the price of your health and well-being if you push too far beyond your limits. If you’re on the verge of burnout, the Mars-Neptune square flashes the warning lights. With Mars powered down in retrograde motion, it’s all the more crucial to pace yourself.

Someone may dangle an enticing opportunity that SEEMS to align with your ambitions. But once you start investigating, you could find more smoke and mirrors than expected. This is NOT the time to hop aboard someone’s half-baked scheme. Unless they have a solid plan—or you feel like it’s a well-calculated risk—wait until they’re more established to join this venture. 

November 22: Sun enters Sagittarius and November 23 Sagittarius new moon

Healthy living will be the best route to pursue once Sagittarius season begins on November 22, launching the Sun’s monthlong visit to your sixth house of wellness and work…these disciplined vibes will help you stay balanced as cocktail-and-cookie season rolls around. Try to incorporate some healthy or veg-forward recipes into your celebrations. Who says your feast has to end in a food coma? Scan the food blogs (we’re fans of Love & Lemons and Cookie & Kate) for ideas that are decadent enough to join any pile of cornbread stuffing and turkey-laden table.

The November 23 Sagittarius new moon jump-starts your wellness goals, setting off a salubrious six-month cycle. Efforts started now could help you feel vibrant and vivacious long-term. Even if you start with a daily power walk, cutting back sugar or hitting a couple gym classes a week, the idea is to get your body moving in the right direction. Of course no self-respecting Cancer would deny themselves holiday treats. Skip the deprivation: Enjoy your holiday cookie trays but add more dark leafy greens and exercise to your days for balance!

Up, up and away: Jupiter retrograde ends November 23

Oh, the places you’ll go! On November 23, Jupiter, the guardian of luck and expansion, will end a four-month retrograde, powering forward in Pisces and your ninth house of travel, entrepreneurship and new adventures. A stalled startup idea or educational dreams could hit the fast track. Any back-burnered vacation plans or long-distance projects now get the green light. 

This is the third and final visit since May 2021 that Jupiter will make to Pisces, and it concludes on December 20. You’ve got just shy of a month to tap into this lucky cycle and take a big leap of faith. Roll the dice, Crab—but keep the urge to gamble a teensy bit in check as you could overestimate your capacity now.

Turn up the heat! Until November 16, sultry Venus is in Scorpio and your passionate, romantic fifth house. Hang the mistletoe early this year, Crab, because things could be steamy in the first half of the month. You may feel strong chemistry with someone you meet. Coupled Crabs could get into a cozy cuffing season. 

But wait…is everything as it seems on the surface? Spicy, intense Mars is now retrograde in Gemini and your twelfth house of secrets, fantasy and hidden agendas until January 12. Your mojo could downshift into slow motion for the rest of the year (perhaps tempering the sizzle of Scorpio season a bit). Someone’s “facts” might not add up, or you could discover some unsavory information that has you questioning how much you can trust them. A clandestine attraction might take a sideways turn. Is it time to cool this thing down?

From November 16 to December 9, Venus will journey through Sagittarius and your healthy, helpful sixth house. Your love language for the second half of the month is decidedly “acts of service.” You could meet someone, or bond with your favorite plus-one, by hosting a fundraiser, volunteering at a canned-goods drive or getting everyone to bundle up for some outdoor activity after the Thanksgiving feast.

Pace yourself, Cancer. Go-getter Mars is in Gemini and your sleepy twelfth house until March 25, which already has you in low-power mode. On top of that, Mars is now retrograde until January 12, which could make you even foggier or more deeply focused on one particular project. While you may WANT to launch something new, your best bet is to spend the rest of the year tying up loose ends. 

Tap into your creativity now, especially with the Sun in Scorpio and your artistic fifth house until November 22. Get out to the holiday parties and mingle—you’re more likely to meet promising connections over Christmas cocktails and canapes than in a conference room. The Taurus lunar eclipse on November 8 can bring an out-of-the-blue collaboration or an invitation to join a cutting-edge group. 

When the Sun moves into Sagittarius and your administrative sixth house on November 22, an end-of-year cleanup and decluttering could be in order. Knock some year-end tasks off your list. But don’t get so caught up in minutiae that you abandon your dreams! From November 23 to December 20, lucky Jupiter will power forward for one final lap through Pisces and your visionary ninth house. This could be one of those “win the lottery” moments when you swing out big and your wildest dreams actually happen! Make good use of this monthlong cycle, since Jupiter won’t be back here for another 12 years.
