Beloved funnyman and social media star Leslie Jordan has died at age 67, his agent confirmed. The “Will & Grace” actor was involved in a deadly car accident in Hollywood, California on Monday, Oct. 24, around 9:30 am local time. Law enforcements believe Jordan had a medical emergency, which led to the crash, per TMZ, who first reported Jordan’s passing.
“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan. Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times,” David Shaul, Jordan’s agent, said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Continuing, “What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

Fans fell in love with Jordan for his portrayals on “American Horror Story,” “Call Me Kat” and “Ugly Betty.” During the COVID-19 pandemic, a time of darkness and fear, Jordan gave people something to smile about with his funny homemade Instagram videos. He was a source of laughter and joy, and a comedic hit among fans of all ages.
However, Jordan was best known for his role of Beverly Leslie on NBC’s “Will & Grace.” The character earned him a Primetime Emmy for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series in 2006.
Love for Jordan has come pouring in from celebrities and fans all over. His “Will & Grace” family shared sweet words and their favorite moments with the actor on social media.
Reminiscent, Sean Hayes, who plays Jack McFarland on “Will & Grace,” shares that Jordan was “one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with.”
“The joy and laughter he brought to everyone of his #WillandGrace episodes was palpable. Gone about 30 years too soon,” Eric McCormack, AKA Will, wrote on Instagram.
Megan Mullally, who stars as Grace, posted a hilarious snap of her and Jordan from set. The actress penned a lengthy letter about Jordan, calling him “one of the greats.”
Andy Cohen shared his condolences on Twitter. Jordan was a frequent guest on his late-night talk show on Bravo, “What What Happens Live.”
