The former actress took on the role of interviewer during the event and quizzed 19th* Represents co-founder and CEO, Emily Ramshaw, about creating a ground-breaking newsroom with a focus on gender equality.
During the discussion she made the candid admission about her own negative experiences at the hands of the media.
She said, “What’s so fascinating, at least from my standpoint and my personal experience in the past couple years, is the headline headline alone, the clickbait alone, makes an imprint.”
The Duchess said the current climate of journalism is creating an appetite for “salacious” details, rather than the truth.

“So if you’re just trying to grab someone’s attention, you’re going for something salacious versus what is truthful.”

The royal couple have invested in a £11.2 million property in Santa Barbara, which will be their main home with son Archie.
The news was confirmed by a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who told HELLO! that they moved in in July, and that,”They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbours, as well as for them as a family.”
