The Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite wedding photo has been revealed by a royal photographer.

A royal photographer has spoken out about which of the Cambridge’s wedding photos the Duchess of Cambridge loved more than the rest.
Earlier this week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary after they tied the knot at Westminster Abbey back in 2011.
In honour of the anniversary royal photographer Samir Hussein spoke out about what it was like to work on the special day back in 2011 – and he even revealed the wedding photo that Duchess Catherine was most fond of.
And while fans might’ve thought it might be an iconic shot like the one of her and then-new husband Prince William kissing on the balcony, the photo of the newly married couple walking out of the church after their marriage service or maybe the snap of the Duchess walking down the aisle while younger sister Pippa fanned out her veil, it ended up being a rather surprising pick instead.
“It just came about really quickly,” the photographer told US Weekly, revealing that one of the Duchess’s favourite photos was an impromptu one where she waved to the crowds as she was walking into the church.

“I think there was some quite big crowds outside, outside the abbey,” he continued. “A lot of people being camping out for days and days. And I think she just wanted to acknowledge the crowds, but also with it being such an enormous event, the cameras and stuff”.
“It was really nice when she turned straight in my direction and waved sort of straight down the barrel of my lens, and I gave a big smile,” he added, revealing that the photo shows the Duchess “acknowledging all of those around her”.

“I’ve been told that that’s one of her favourites,” he revealed. “It was actually used by the Royal collection when the dress went on display at Buckingham palace for all our advertising…That picture was on the Underground, on big posters and billboards all around London. I think she had a big hand [in that]”.
